All Pro Dad: “All Pro Dad’s Days is a school-based program that brings dads together with their kids at their child’s school. Dads gather monthly with their children and other dads to discuss topics relevant to school-age children and to take part in fun bonding activities. The dads leave with practical parenting tips they can take home and implement immediately and the kids leave with memories to last a lifetime. All Pro Dad is grateful and excited to be partnering with the National PTA to put All Pro Dad’s Days chapters in over 1,000 schools nationwide.”
Carnegie Science Center: “The dynamic action in our science assembly programs includes audience participation, fun-filled demonstrations, and live experiments with creative props.” The PTO brings Carnegie Science Center assemblies to the FR Elementary Campus.
Blackburn Center: “Since 1976, Blackburn Center has been providing services to victims of domestic and sexual violence in Westmoreland County, and presenting education programs across this community. Our mission is to actively advocate for the rights of all people to live free from violence and oppression in their homes and communities, and provide supportive services to survivors of all forms of domestic violence and sexual assault. All of Blackburn Center’s client services are free and confidential.”
Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education (PAGE): “The Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education (PAGE) is a nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to helping gifted learners, parents and educators. The mission of PAGE is to advocate for mentally gifted children by working with parents, teachers, administrators, policy makers, and the community to meet the diverse needs of gifted learners.”
Autism Support: Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of people with autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into the causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.
Birth Injury- Special Education Resources: There are more special education opportunities than ever for children who have been diagnosed with a birth injury. Many schools, resources, and organizations are tailored towards children with disabilities. Scholarships, health impairment plans, individualized education plans, and homeschooling are all options for parents looking into special education resources. The Birth Injury Justice Center is dedicated to supporting anyone who has been affected by birth injuries, brain injuries, cerebral palsy, Erb’s palsy, or other developmental disabilities. We strive to provide answers and guidance to ensure that families receive the assistance they need to help improve their overall quality of life.
