My name is Amber Trout, and I’m excited to serve on the FR Primary PTO Board during my final year as a Primary School parent. My husband, Greg, and I have two children — Sylvia (4th grade) and Jonas (2nd grade). Both of our kids love playing soccer, swimming on the MSC swim team, going on play dates, visiting the library, and spending time outdoors. As a family, we’re avid soccer fans who enjoy cheering on the Riverhounds and Riveters, taking little adventures, spending time at Idlewild and Kennywood, visiting with family, and relaxing by the pool at MSC. Before having children, I supervised a team of therapists and worked in the mental health field for 11 years. I currently serve on the Board of the Murrysville Area Soccer Association and have volunteered at numerous PTO events since 2021. I’m grateful to have met so many dedicated families and staff who help make each school year meaningful and fun. Being part of the PTO has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m looking forward to another exciting year ahead!

As a family we love traveling to visit family, day trips to Kennywood and Idlewild, and being together making memories. I have loved volunteering for various PTO and school functions this past year such as book fairs, Homeroom Coordinator, Turkey Cup, Parent/Teacher Conferences, Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week and more. Throughout the year I also substitute teach in the Primary and Intermediate schools. I am very grateful to have met and worked with so many wonderful volunteers, parents and staff that make our school community so amazing! I look forward to this next school year and meeting more of you during various events and activities!
Hello FR Families! My name is Megan Wimer and I am serving as Co-Vice President at the Primary School. My Husband George and I have lived in Murrysville for over 5 years now with our 2 children, Violet and Mac. Violet is in 2nd grade at the primary school and Mac is 3 years old. This past year I chaired 6 committees for the PTO and have volunteered for numerous events at the school. I am looking forward to being even more involved this year! In addition to the PTO I coach the Flag Cheerleading squad for FAMFA and serve on the children's ministry team at our church. I have had the opportunity to meet and work with so many awesome parents over the last year and am really looking forward to continuing to build relationships. I am very excited for next year and hope to help create wonderful memories for our students and staff!
My name is Sheri Wikert and I am looking forward to being Co-Treasurer for the 2025-26 school year! I live in Murrysville with my husband, Adam, and our two boys (Conor is a second Grader and Leo is a first grader). We also have a sweet beagle named Lucy! We love to spend our time outdoors and enjoy hiking, watersports and baseball. We also love family game nights and spending time with our friends, family and neighbors. I have enjoyed getting involved with the PTO this last year! In the 2023-24 school year, I served as Co-Chair for the Major Fundraiser and Spring Book Fair, was the HRC for my son's classroom and also volunteered my time at other events throughout the year. Prior to my children being born, I worked in Events Management for the Chamber of Commerce in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I am excited for all that is to come while working with families, staff and the PTO Board next year!

As a family, we love taking trips, hiking, biking, spending time with friends and family, swimming, board games, and playing at amusement centers! Previously, I have been involved with volunteering for softball programs and previous years’ PTO activities, including field day, book fairs, home room coordinator, and after school activities. Currently, I am working as a utilization review specialist, with a background as an occupational therapist. I’m so thankful for all the parents and teachers who work so hard to make the school years fun for the kids and families, and am looking forward to continuing the tradition next school year!
Hello FR Families! My name is Cassy Armstrong, and I’m excited to serve as PTO Secretary at the Primary School this year. My husband Rob and I are Franklin Regional graduates, now raising our three children—Emelia, Evelina, and Arlo—right here in the community that shaped us. Our kids are involved in all kinds of activities including softball, soccer, cheer, and swimming, so chances are you’ve seen us at a field, pool, or gym!
I’m a former primary school teacher with 13 years of classroom experience and now work from home in a more flexible role that allows me to be present for my family while continuing to use my skills in communication, planning, and organization. While I may not be in the classroom anymore, I deeply understand how impactful parent and community support can be. I’m excited to give back, stay connected, and help contribute to a positive, fun, and supportive school environment for our students and staff this year!
